Who you are dealing with
Hot Water Direct is a trading name of Nexus Plumbing Limited (company number 6252667, NZBN 9429046007131), a registered plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying business in Auckland. We sell in trade, so the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 apply to consumer purchases.
Prices
All prices shown include GST and are for supply of the product only. They do not include installation, removal of your old cylinder, or any plumbing or electrical work.
We do our best to keep prices current, but supplier costs move. If a price on the site is wrong when you order, we will tell you before taking payment and you are free to walk away.
Orders and stock
We do not hold stock. When you order, we confirm availability with our supplier and come back to you with the price and a delivery date. An order is not accepted until we confirm it.
If we cannot supply what you ordered, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.
Payment
Payment is due before dispatch. We invoice you once the order is confirmed, and the cylinder is released once payment clears. A GST invoice is provided with every order.
Installation is separate
Connecting a hot water cylinder is restricted sanitary plumbing work under the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Act 2006. It must be carried out by a licensed person.
If you ask us to install, that is a separate agreement quoted separately, and these terms of sale do not cover it. If you use your own plumber, the installation is between you and them.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from an installation we did not carry out, from a product being installed contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions, or from a cylinder being unsuitable for a site we were not asked to assess.
